Kai and Jai have to postpone the move into their new home because the house isn’t quite ready. We’ll keep in touch with them and announce when the new moving day will be.

The UUFS Board of Trustees has approved a capital campaign to pay off our only debt, our building mortgage, by December 31, 2012. In addition to the general advantages of becoming debt-free, there is a short-term benefit: getting the mortgage payments out of the operating budget in order to free up funds for sustaining ministry. The Unitarian Universalist Association and the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee have launched a joint earthquake relief fund to help the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12. For further details, including information on how to contribute, see the UUSC website.

Because of the pressing need for assistance to the earthquake victims in Haiti, the UUFS Social Action Committee has directed that this Sunday’s plate collection go to Doctors Without Borders–Haiti.
