We’re pleased to announce that Sara Moulton has accepted the position as our new administrative assistant. She is already on the job, and she is quickly getting up to speed with the help of John, Ed, Naomi, Leslie and Lara. Sara, her husband Steve, and daughter Lizzy are frequent visitors, so you may already know her. Please join us in extending a hearty welcome to Sara.

Staff Performance Reviews

The previous Board proposed the idea of informal performance reviews of our paid staff (John, Lara, Trish, Micaela and Ella). This Board will follow through with the reviews this summer. We want to provide you with an opportunity to participate. This is your chance to recognize our employees’ strengths and to suggest areas for growth.

Please be specific in your remarks and send your comments to me by June 26th. I’ll forward them to the appropriate review team. Your comments will be considered, along with other information, in developing the employee’s performance report.

We also welcome letters or e-mails of commendation which you would like shared with the employee and placed in his/her personnel file.

We hope that you will participate.

Congregation Elects New Board

Jeannie Depew, Judy Burns, Leslie Finlayson & Naomi Reed

At the Annual Congregational Meeting on May 23, the congregation elected the Board of Trustees for 2010-11. The new officers are Naomi Reed–President, Leslie Finlayson–Vice President, Jeannie Depew–Treasurer, and Judy Burns–Secretary. The new trustees are Dottie Yeatman, Kim Greene and Liz LaPosta. Let’s wish them all a successful and productive year!

The first meeting of the new Board of Trustees will be at UUFS on Thursday, June 10 at 6:30 pm. This is a transitional meeting, so both new and old board members are asked to attend.

Congregational Meeting

Dear Fellows:

This notice is a reminder that the UUFS will be holding a Congregational Meeting on Thursday November 19, 2009, at 6 p.m. at the Fellowship.

Only members may vote, but all are welcome if they are interested in contributing to the discussion of our two questions to be considered:

Should the UUFS change its Sunday service time to 10:30 a.m. year round?
Are there any modifications to the Budget proposed by the Board for the 2^nd half of the current fiscal year (January-June 2010)?
- The budget must be passed by majority vote in its final form.

The meeting will be conducted beautifully according to Roberts’ Rules of Order as called for in our bylaws.
