Music is an integral part of the life of our Fellowship. It makes a unique contribution to nurturing our spirit, as well as challenging and entertaining us.  The choir opens the Sunday service with many different kinds of music, leads the congregation in singing hymns, and performs on special occasions.

Music Director: Ed Steffes

The choir rehearses every Sunday at 9:45 AM, except during the months of June and July. New choir members are welcome. Formal musical training is not required.

In keeping with our Unitarian Universalist tradition of respecting diversity, the choir likes to sing music from many different sources.  In addition to traditional hymns and carols, you may hear a folk song, a contemporary rock ballad, an African American spiritual, or a Broadway tune.  When we’re not singing religious music, we love to do parodies of old songs with brand-new, humorous lyrics. Ed’s lyrics page has a few examples.
