‘Tis the Season to Give…and Get

We can’t do what we do without a set of dedicated volunteers. In return for 300 service hours in construction or the ReStore committed from now through August 14, volunteers can earn for themselves (or donate to another, such as a child or grandchild) an educational award of $1,250. This opportunity is granted through our partnership with AmeriCorps at Salisbury University. Enrollment is limited. Email volunteer coordinator Angel Watson.

Through the MD Community Investment Tax Credit Program, qualified donors may be able to receive the Federal and State tax deduction as well as a credit on Maryland taxes for half of their personal or business donation amount. This is a great savings for doing a great amount of good in our community. Click the photo link below for more details or email development coordinator Christina Williams to make your donation.
The ReStore Keeps Our Planet Cleaner
Have gently used furniture, appliances, home decor, and/or building material you no longer want around the house? Don’t trash it… DONATE IT.

Every home is a building block. Having a decent place to live and the availability of an affordable mortgage or loan means Habitat homeowners can save money, increase education and opportunity, and have more financial stability. Every family needs a foundation to build a better future. Every Habitat homeowner’s sweat equity hours are completed with nothing less than temerity; and it is this determination that leads them to the front door of their dream–a home they helped build. A home of their very own.
Every person has something to contribute and something to gain from helping Habitat and its partner families create communities in which all people have decent, affordable places to live.
Every hand makes a difference.
