A Kid’s Cafe’s Lesson “Community Involvement”

Thanks to Mayor Day, the Salisbury Fire Department, and Police Chief Duncan for visiting our children and sharing the importance of community engagement, civic responsibility, and future career goals.

Summer Schedule Update

Lazarus Food Pantry

From June 1st through August 31st our Lazarus Food Pantry will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am – 1pm for clients. The pantry will be closed on July 4th and July 6th due to the holiday.

News and Upcoming Events
PRMC Wellness Van

The PRMC Wellness Van visited Salisbury Urban Ministries on May 4th from 10am – 2pm.  This month the wellness van focused on Stroke Awareness for our clients.  In addition they did blood pressure checks and made health referrals to members of the Salisbury community.

Their next visit will be this Thursday, May 18th from 10am – 2pm.

Our Needs

Lazarus Food Pantry:

The food pantry is in need of pastas or noodles, Hamburger Helper/ Tuna Helper, cereal bars, oatmeal, and Ramen Noodles.

Kid’s Cafe:

We are in need of individually packaged snacks for our children. Specifically, fruit cups, granola bars, fruit roll-ups, and pretzels.

Men’s Welcome Center:

We are in need of body wash, deodorant, and laundry detergent for the Center on Saturdays.

Kid’s Cafe in need of Volunteers for Summer Program
Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity? Our Kid’s Cafe program is looking for volunteers to help our children have a memorable summer. The program is running Monday thru Thursday from 1:30 to 4:30. Maybe you can help one or two days a week? Highlights
Community Foundation of the Lower Eastern Shore  has awarded S.U.M. a $5,000 “Needs” Grant to support our Kid’s Cafe Program expansion from 3 to 4 days.
