Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Salisbury

The Sustainable Living Fair hatched out of a conversation between Five Points Community Farm Market Director, Bev Sell, and Green Alternatives’ Owner, Amelia Baker.  Starving to see better education surrounding sustainable living practices, the two put their heads together and decided that a foundation of knowledge, education, and information from local experts would prove to be a popular outing for everyone from young to old, single to family, poor to rich.  Nobody excluded from the focus meant that the event would always be free and open to the public.  Meeting after meeting, the 1st annual Sustainable Living Fair developed into a weekend at Norfolk’s Waterside Marketplace buzzing with eco vendors, homesteading workshops, environmentally-minded films, and local food. 

We’re coming up on our 3rd year! ODU was such a wonderful host last year, we’ll be having it there again in 2012.
