In reflecting on last week’s “Leap of Faith” sermon, I’m reminded of this quotation from “Faith Without Certainty” by Paul Rasor: “Doubt is always an inherent part of faith…Religious liberalism has always to some extent involved faith without certainty.” It reminds me that we are, in fact, inheritors of a long and proud tradition of those who love the questions as much as – or perhaps more than- the answers. Honk if you’re not sure!
